How many flavors come with the truck?

4 at a time. That is the truck's case, not a choice we make to be difficult — 4 tubs is what fits and what stays at proper gelato temperature through a whole event. We recommend picking 3 dairy flavors and 1 non-dairy sorbetto, which covers almost every guest at almost every event.

So what happens if one of my picks is not available?

Give us 2 extra choices beyond your 4 and we will never have to call you about it. Flavors come and go with supply, and an event booked months out is exactly when that bites. This is also why every flavor on our event sheet is listed as “Gelato Preferred Flavor” rather than as a guarantee — we load your preferences, and the 2 spares mean a shortage never costs you a flavor slot.

Why 3 dairy and 1 non-dairy?

Because it is the split that leaves nobody out. Sorbetto is our answer for dairy-free, egg-free and vegan guests, and one in the case covers all three at once. Going 3/1 rather than 4/0 costs you one gelato slot and means the guest who cannot have dairy is not standing there with nothing.

Which flavors are dairy-free? Are they vegan?

Our sorbetti — Lemon Sorbetto, Raspberry Sorbetto and Mango Bango — are made with no dairy and no egg. That covers dairy-free, egg-free and vegan guests in one flavor.

The honest caveat: they are produced in a facility that also handles milk, and at an event they are scooped from the same case as the gelato. We use a dedicated scoop for them when you tell us there is an allergy in the party — so tell us, and we will plan the case around it rather than improvise at the table.

Which flavors contain nuts?

Stracciatella, Pistachio, Kitchen Sink Spumoni and Southern Butter-Pecan. Everything else declares no peanuts and no tree nuts.

⚠️ But please read this part: every flavor is produced in a facility that also handles peanuts and tree nuts, and a shared case means shared air and shared tools. For a mild preference, the list above is what you need. For a severe or anaphylactic allergy, talk to us before you book — we would far rather have that conversation than have you rely on a list.

Which flavors contain egg?

Belgium Dark Chocolate and Kitchen Sink Spumoni. Every other gelato we carry declares no egg, and the sorbetti (Lemon Sorbetto, Raspberry Sorbetto and Mango Bango) are egg-free as well as dairy-free.

Is your gelato gluten-free?

Almost all of it. Worlds-Best Milk & Cookies contains wheat — it is the only flavor in our rotation that does. Every other gelato and every sorbetto has no wheat in it.

⚠️ Two things people miss: our Brodallions® waffle chips and waffle cones are made with wheat, so a gluten-free guest wants a cup and no chip; and everything is made in a facility that also handles wheat. Tell us when you book and the crew is briefed before they leave the farm.

Do you have anything with no sugar added?

Not at the moment — ask us, and we will tell you what is coming.

Someone in our party has a serious allergy. What should we do?

Tell us in your first message, not on the day. When you flag it we put it on the event sheet, the crew is briefed before they load, and we plan the case — dedicated scoop, order of service, and which flavors stay in the freezer. None of that is possible if we hear about it at the table.

What we will never do is tell you a flavor is safe when we cannot know that. Every flavor is produced in a facility that also handles peanuts, tree nuts, milk, wheat and soy. We cannot guarantee any flavor is free of trace amounts, and the same scoops and case are shared across flavors. If you have a severe allergy, please talk to us before you order — we would much rather have the conversation.

Can you tell us exactly which flavors will be in the case?

Yes, once you have picked. Name your 4 plus 2 spares when you book and we will confirm the final 4 back to you before the event, so nobody finds out at the table.
