Dairy: contains milk.

Ingredients: Milk, cream, sugar, nonfat milk, less than 2% guar gum, locust bean gum, carrageenan, mono and diglycerides; cookies (unbleached enriched flour [wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid], sugar, palm and/or canola oil, cocoa [processed with alkali], high fructose corn syrup, leavening [baking soda and/or calcium phosphate], salt, soy lecithin, chocolate, artificial flavor).

⚠️ Shared facility and shared case. Every flavor is produced in a facility that also handles peanuts, tree nuts, milk, wheat and soy. We cannot guarantee any flavor is free of trace amounts, and the same scoops and case are shared across flavors. If you have a severe allergy, please talk to us before you order — we would much rather have the conversation.

This is the flavor kids point at, and there is no reason to be snobbish about it — a cookies-and-cream done well is a genuinely good dessert. The cookies stay crunchy because they go in late and cold, and the base is a proper fior di latte rather than a sweetened vanilla, so the milk half of 'milk and cookies' actually tastes of milk.

One thing we want to be direct about: this flavor contains wheat. The chocolate wafers are made with enriched wheat flour, which means this is the one flavor in our rotation that is not gluten-free. Every other gelato and every sorbetto we carry has no wheat in it.

If you are avoiding gluten and want the same idea, ask us — a scoop of Madagascar vanilla with fresh berries gets you most of the way there, and the Brodallion® waffle chips are wheat too, so skip those as well.

Questions we get asked

Is Milk & Cookies gluten-free?

No. This is the one flavor in our rotation that contains wheat — the chocolate wafers are made with enriched wheat flour. If you are avoiding gluten, please choose another flavor, and note the Brodallion® waffle chips contain wheat too.

What kind of cookies are in it?

Crunchy chocolate wafers, folded through the base rather than blended in, so they keep their texture.

Is there a gluten-free alternative that tastes similar?

Not exactly, but Madagascar vanilla with fresh berries or a spoon of Nutella is the closest thing in the case, and it has no wheat in it.
