Sorbetto · dairy-freeLemon Sorbetto
What Italians eat between courses, and what we hand people on a 95° afternoon.
Contains: no declared allergens — no milk, egg, wheat, soy, peanuts or tree nuts in this flavor.
- Gluten: no wheat in this flavor.
- Dairy & egg: made with no dairy and no egg.
Ingredients: Sorbet base (water, corn syrup, stabilizer, sugar); water; lemon juice concentrate; lemon extract.
⚠️ Shared facility and shared case. Every flavor is produced in a facility that also handles peanuts, tree nuts, milk, wheat and soy. We cannot guarantee any flavor is free of trace amounts, and the same scoops and case are shared across flavors. If you have a severe allergy, please talk to us before you order — we would much rather have the conversation.
Sorbetto is not gelato with the milk left out — it is its own thing, and lemon is where that is most obvious. There is no cream to round the edges, so the acid arrives first and clears everything before it. That is exactly why it is served between courses in Italy: it resets your palate rather than coating it.
It is also the lightest thing we make. Three real ingredients — lemon juice, water, sugar — and nothing else doing any work.
Every sorbetto we carry is dairy-free and egg-free, which makes this side of the case the answer for most of the dietary questions we get at a wedding. It is not a consolation prize; it is frequently the first thing to run out.
Good with
- Raspberry sorbetto in the same cup
- Prosecco, if the event allows it
- A hot afternoon
Questions we get asked
Is sorbetto dairy-free?
Yes. Every sorbetto we carry — lemon, raspberry and mango — is made without any dairy and without egg. They are the flavors we point vegan and dairy-free guests to first.
Is it very sour?
It is bright rather than sour. Real lemon juice with enough sugar to balance it, which is why it works as a palate cleanser as well as a dessert.
Do you have dairy-free options at weddings?
Always. There is at least one dairy-free sorbetto in the case at every event we cater — just tell us when you book and we will make sure of the flavor.
Want this one at your event?
Four flavors ride in the case at a time out of a twelve-flavor rotation. Name Lemon Sorbetto when you book and we will load it — and tell us about any allergies in the same message so we can plan the case around them.
